What is Yupoo, if it isn't a shop?

How do I buy something I found on Yupoo?

1. Look for the real link. Open the album or photo description. Most point to a Weidian product link; some to Taobao or 1688.
2. If there's no link, find the contact. Sellers often list WhatsApp or WeChat in the album description or a pinned post. Ask for the Weidian link to the item.
3. Get the password if the album is locked. Some sellers password-protect albums to control who sees their full range or wholesale prices. The password usually comes with the seller's contact details or community posts.
4. Paste the link into an agent. JoyaGoo, KakoBuy and the other agents on this site accept Weidian and Taobao links.
5. Check the QC photos your agent takes against the album photos before approving.

Verdict: The step that goes wrong is step 1: an unknown seller link with no track record. Prefer links that other buyers have already ordered from.

What are the risks with Yupoo sellers?

W2C Spreadsheet puts the main risk plainly: it sits "on the buying side: an unknown seller link, a dead link or a store with no track record". Three habits cut it down:

• Pay through an agent, not the seller directly. An agent's warehouse and QC step gives you a chance to reject an item before it ships. Paying a seller directly over WhatsApp removes that.
• Compare album photos with QC photos. Album photos can be the seller's best sample. The QC set shows the piece you're actually getting.
• Beware "album only" pricing. Prices written on album photos may be out of date; the price on the Weidian listing is the one you pay.
